When the child needs to transition to school or another program, personnel:
- engage parents in a discussion of the child’s developmental needs and most suitable options;
- provide parents with general information on the transition and enrollment process; and
- share information with other providers to facilitate an orderly transition.
Collaborating service providers are notified when the child transitions to another school, program, or care at home.
When a person's third-party benefits or payments end, the organization determines its responsibility to provide services until appropriate arrangements are made and, if
termination or withdrawal of service is probable due to non-payment, the organization works with the person or family to identify other service options.
Interpretation: The organization must determine on a
case-by-case basis its responsibility to continue providing services to persons whose third-party benefits have ended and who are in critical situations.
NA The organization does not receive third-party benefits or payments for service.
When a child is asked to leave the program, parents receive a written reason with sufficient notice, and the organization makes every effort to link the family with appropriate services.
