activities take place in safe, supportive settings that promote personal growth and healthy development.
Program rules and behavioral expectations are developed with children and youth enrolled in the program and are enforced in a fair, consistent manner.
The program setting is welcoming and engaging, and helps children and youth feel physically and emotionally safe.
The program’s environment should be sensitive to and supportive of all children and youth, regardless of background, race, ethnicity
, language, religion, socioeconomic status, gender, disability, or sexual orientation.
Program space and materials are:
- appropriate to the age and developmental status of children and youth; and
- designed to accommodate a variety of appropriate activities.
Spaces will ideally be available for a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, including small group activities, large group activities, and socialization with peers and adults.
When program activities occur in multiple locations, the organization ensures that all settings are safe and supportive.
NA The organization does not provide activities in multiple locations.
