BENEFITS OF REGISTRATION

Registering for My COA is a simple, one time process that occurs when a new or reaccredited private organization or public agency starts the accreditation process. At that time, your COA Coordinator will help you set up your account and show you how to use the features of My COA. Note: Only in-process organizations and agencies are eligible to receive a My COA account.

Check with your organization's CEO, Director, or Accreditation Coordinator before registering to find out if you have already received an account. If you have not received an account or you are unsure, complete the online registration form and a representative from COA will contact you.

Registering for a My COA account provides numerous benefits including:

• the opportunity to view a customized notebook that includes only those standards that are applicable to your organization;
• the ability to interact with and share a common set of web-based standards between you and your work colleagues ensuring consistent application of the standards;
• the capability for registered users to add their own comments within a set of standards thus facilitating dialogue about the standards within the organization;
• the ability to contact and communicate with your COA coordinator from within the site ensuring consistent exchanges;
• the confidence in knowing that you always have the most current and relevant set of standards since updates occur in real time;
• the means to access the standards from any web-based device minimizing the need to carry around a large binder or notebook; and
• the capacity to easily print out PDF versions of each set of standards in case you need a mobile version.
