WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR NETWORK ACCREDITATION?Definition of Network COA has developed Network Administration Standards that apply to network management entities (NMEs). COA defines NMEs as organizations that coordinate or oversee the provision of social and human services to covered populations. Below is a description of the types of NMEs accredited by COA:
Accreditation Process An overview of the accreditation process is contained within these Accreditation Guidelines. This includes the instructions and tools for the Network questionnaires, self study instructions, tools for the process, and other important information. Please read the entire set of Guidelines carefully in order to understand the steps associated with Network Accreditation. Where there are differences in the process for NMEs, COA has made note of this in the Guidelines. Applicable Standards Organizations pursuing Network Accreditation will complete the Administration and Management, and Service Delivery Administration standards, including the Network Administration section. Within the Tables of Evidence for the Administration and Management, and Service Delivery Administration standards additional evidence for NMEs is indicated. NMEs are expected to demonstrate implementation of the standards using all of the evidence indicated in the Tables of Evidence, in addition to the evidence specially noted “For Networks.” This will be important to note throughout the accreditation process and in your application of the standards. Organizations that operate as a Network and provide social services to clients will be assigned the Network Administration section and the applicable COA service section(s). Standards Matrix COA will work with your organization to select the standards that best reflect your organization’s operations. This will be accomplished by working with your Accreditation Coordinator to complete a matrix identifying how the standards will be reviewed. |
